Bobbie Carlton – Founder
Bobbie Carlton, founder of Carlton PR & Marketing, Innovation Nights and Innovation Women, is an award-winning marketing, PR and social media professional.
In 2008, she started her own company…the first one, Carlton PR & Marketing. Company #2 is Mass Innovation Nights (MIN), a social media powered new product showcase that has launched more than 1000 new products which have received a combined $2.1+ billion in funding. Company #3 is Innovation Women, an online “visibility bureau” for entrepreneurial, technical and innovative women. She is a Mass High Tech All-star and a Boston Business Journal Woman to Watch.
Crystal Woody – Vice President, Strategic Communications
For more than a decade, Crystal has helped businesses and organizations raise awareness and share their stories with the world. Her experience spans both corporate and agency settings, with expertise developing and executing strategic public relations, content, social media and influencer programs designed to drive brand visibility. Prior to joining Carlton PR & Marketing, Crystal served as a senior member of Constant Contact’s internal PR team, where she was charged with increasing brand awareness for the public company and extending the reach of its thought leadership internationally.
Nat Hefferman – Social Media
Nat Hefferman heads our East Coast social media team. A former financial services professional, Nat began working in social media as a website monitor for a COPPA-compliant children’s website (yes, the Beacon Street Girls) while home raising his two kids. The job soon evolved into the role of head monitor, managing the schedules and team of monitors. Today he works with several of our clients, ranging from enterprise software vendors to consulting firms to local small businesses. In his spare time, he plays saxophone, bassoon and sarrusophone (look it up) with several local orchestras and bands, most notably the Extraordinary Rendition Band of Providence, RI. Kerry Fristoe – Social Media and Content
Kerry worked in member services at the AGC of Massachusetts, helping members of the busy construction trade association, and planning events and classes. She promoted AGC programs and helped clients gain national certifications and awards. She also raised a bright, shining daughter. Before Kerry started her family, she was a Systems Engineer at Lockheed-Martin and served six years in the United States Air Force as a Cryptologist/Linguist. She’d tell you what she did, but they’d revoke her 00 status. Along the way, she attended Connecticut College, The Community College of the Air Force, Harvard Extension School, and the Defense Language Institute. Kerry watches a lot of movies and writes about them on her own blog Prowler Needs a Jump as well as the Brattle Film Notes, and B Movie Maniacs. She also writes guest pieces for other film blogs. Sarah Barsch – Account Associate
Sarah’s strengths in writing, public speaking, and media have led her to a career in marketing and public relations. Over the past five years, Sarah held marketing roles in a wide range of fields, working for a New York City law firm, construction company, and various other opportunities. Throughout her experiences, she gained knowledge in social media, B2B PR, marketing, and graphic design before graduating with honors from Bentley University in 2019 and signing on to work with Carlton PR & Marketing full-time.
Christine Hughes – Account Associate
Christine is a graphic designer and event marketing specialist. She creates compelling content for various clients through her eye for design and love for social media. Christine has great experience developing unique event experiences through marketing and event planning. As a graduate of the Ithaca College Class of 2019, Christine moved from New York to Boston to pursue her passions in events and marketing at Carlton PR & Marketing.
Mary Beth Russo – Digital Marketing Programs
Mary Beth is a metrics-driven and analytical marketing professional with a strong B2B focus in both corporate and agency roles. She works as a marketing strategist and consultant for clients including startups to large organizations and ranging in technology, consumer goods, financial services, and non-profit. She has held roles and consulted with companies with a broad scope directing, managing, and executing marketing programs and teams to drive demand, increase customer loyalty, and build brand visibility.
Mary Beth has worked at tech companies such as PTC, Applix, Cognos, IBM, and Datawatch, and digital media and advertising companies such as Design News Magazine and Charles River Interactive.
Catherine Doherty – Bookkeeping/Finance
Catherine has more than 30 years of experience with finance and bookkeeping for small companies. She currently manages the bookkeeping for Carlton PR & Marketing LLC and Innovation Nights. Previously, Catherine was the bookkeeper and office manager for B*tween Productions.
